About Us

The establishment of the Control and Automation Technology Program, which is included in the Tusaş-Kazan  Vocational School of  Gazi University, was approved at the meeting of the Executive Committee of Higher Education dated 31.03.2021 and under the title of Law No. 2547. The Department of the Electronics and Automation Control and Automation Technology Program will for the first time begin its educational activities with 40 students in the 2021-2022  Fall Semester.

Control and Automation Technology applications is an interdisciplinary and wide range branch that has effects for both industry and agriculture in the world and in our country as well. Because high-performance devices and machines are created by Control and Automation Technology, Control and Automation Technology has become progressively popular in recent years. By considering electrical and control systems as a whole and by producing solutions about design and application it is aimed to meet the need for intermediate staff in control systems in industrial application. Many organizations are taking advantage of automated systems and switching to Industry 4.0. Qualified personnel are needed in this process. A serious task falls on higher education institutions to meet the need for personnel. Furthermore, by training qualified persons cooperation between higher education institutions  and industy have an importance for nationalizing the production of remote control of drones, electrical vehicles, autonomous systems and development of control systems in the defence industry.

The program courses are taught by the faculty members of Gazi University. High-quality training is provided in the field of Control and Automation Technology. Students, who  graduate from the educational program comprising of four semesters, gain knowledge and skills in the fields of automation, electrical control systems and mechanic and electronic equipment maintenance-repair. Students who graduate from the Control and Automation Technology associate degree program become "Control and Automation Technicians". They can find the opportunity to work on control in the production process of factories. Furthermore, they can be employed as technicians in all areas in which industrial production and automation technologies are being used. The Control and Automation Technology Program train qualified, professional staff who are needed by companies that operate in fields such as electronics, control systems and automation.
